Job Overview
As an Operation Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and compliant operations across our logistics, quality assurance support, packaging coordination, warehouse/inventory management, and export documentation/processes for agro commodities.
This role is designed for a results-driven professional who can coordinate people, materials, and activities to support Holutosine’s operational objectives — delivering quality, reducing wastage, strengthening compliance, and improving efficiency — while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
1) Logistics & Supply Chain Operations
– Coordinate transportation and distribution plans to ensure timely movement of agro commodities to required destinations.
– Collaborate with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to improve delivery reliability and operational flow.
– Monitor shipment status, verify movement schedules, and ensure compliance with applicable logistics requirements (including documentation checks).
– Support contingency planning for delays, route challenges, and supply interruptions.
2) Quality Assurance Support & Compliance Mindset
– Work closely with the Quality Assurance function to support inspection and verification of sourced and processed commodities.
– Ensure that commodities meet company quality specifications and any relevant regulatory requirements.
– Participate in process steps that reduce contamination risks, minimize wastage, and protect product integrity.
– Assist in implementing quality control measures across packing, handling, and storage.
3) Packaging, Labeling & Export Readiness
– Ensure goods are packed, labeled, and handled according to required export and internal standards to prevent damage or quality deterioration.
– Coordinate packaging materials and readiness activities to avoid export delays.
– Maintain a strong compliance approach to documentation accuracy, batch traceability, and export readiness.
4) Warehouse, Inventory & Stock Accuracy
– Manage warehouse activities including inventory control, storage optimization, and stock movement coordination.
– Ensure proper handling, segregation where necessary, and safe storage conditions to preserve quality.
– Maintain accurate records in the inventory system and produce regular reports on:
– stock levels
– stock movement
– shortages/slow-moving items
– wastage tracking and reasons (where applicable)
5) Export Operations & Regulatory Documentation Support
– Coordinate export operations support activities in line with customs regulations, trade policies, and export documentation requirements.
– Liaise with relevant regulatory agencies/partners to support certification and approval needs for export.
– Maintain organized, up-to-date documentation for exported goods to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
6) Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
– Identify operational gaps (delays, avoidable wastage, documentation errors, poor stock flow) and recommend practical improvements.
– Support implementation of process improvements and cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or compliance.
– Promote teamwork and effective communication between cross-functional units—ensuring work plans align with operational priorities.
Required Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3-5 years experience in operations, logistics, warehouse management, export support, or supply chain roles (agro/food industry experience is a strong advantage).
Desired Skills & Competencies
– Strong working knowledge of logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and export processes.
– Experience supporting quality compliance (food/agro standards, basic quality checks, documentation discipline).
– Proficiency in inventory management tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
– Strong ability to coordinate people, processes, and resources effectively.
– Clear communication and the ability to work with internal stakeholders and external partners professionally.
– Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving mindset.
